Even after relocating to the Greenpoint, Brooklyn plant, it was clear that Leviton would need even greater capacity. The company’s series of strategic acquisitions of Meteor Electric, American Insulated Wire, Deal Electric, and Pacific Electricord would help increase production, broaden the product line, and add skilled employees to the work force. With market opportunities increasing and demand for products soaring, the company moved to its current home and corporate headquarters in Little Neck, NY in 1973. In 1997 Macro Lighting Controls came under the Leviton masthead, followed two years later by NSI/Colortran. Both are now part of the Leviton’s Lighting Management Systems Division.
