Established in 1953, Leviton Canada is part of a group of companies affiliated with the Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc., of Little Neck, New York. The latter, founded in 1906, is the largest, privately-held manufacturer and distributor of wiring devices in North America.
In its inception, the mission of the Canadian company was to service the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) sector. In 1959, Leviton Canada began selling its range of products to Electrical Distributors and finally, in 1967, to retailers across the country.
