Since its founding in 1961, BERK-TEK grew to be a top-tier cabling provider in the North American enterprise and data center structured cabling market. The company's New Holland, Pennsylvania, facility has expanded several times and is now one of the largest dedicated four-pair cabling manufacturing facilities in the country. Leviton Manufacturing acquired BERK-TEK in 2020 and invested $25 million to expand its fiber manufacturing facility to more than double its size in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. As part of this acquisition the BERK-TEK name was integrated into Leviton's portfolio of product brands — a move that strengthens our global identity while preserving the brand equity and customer loyalty built by BERK-TEK over six decades.
While the brand and packaging are evolving, everything you have come to rely on stays the same:
- No changes to part numbers, performance, or warranty
- No changes to how you order or receive support
- Same team, same service, and same trusted solutions — now backed by even greater global resources
Starting in July 2025, you'll begin to see updated branding on cable packaging, labels, and spec sheets. This transition will happen gradually, so a mix of legacy and new branding will be visible in distribution inventory and on job sites well into 2026.
Regardless of these changes, it's the same high-performance cable you've always trusted — delivered with the same commitment to quality and reliability. To see our full line of cable offering please visit leviton.com/cable.
