General Counsel 

Meir Blonder is the General Counsel at Leviton. Meir is responsible for all Leviton legal matters and works closely with executives across all of Leviton’s business units and functional departments globally. Meir is a member of the company’s Cybersecurity Committee and is an active participant in the company’s Executive Retirement Committee. While at Leviton, Meir has assembled a team of Intellectual Property (IP) attorneys focused on IP clearance, procurement, and enforcement. When Meir was named as General Counsel, the legal function at Leviton grew into a multi-functional department with responsibility for commercial transactions, M&A, real estate, ERISA, commercial disputes, and labor and employment.

Meir joined Leviton in 2006 as its first in-house attorney focusing on intellectual property, and then became General Counsel in 2014. Prior to joining Leviton, Meir was most recently a patent litigator at the New York office of Skadden Arps. Meir started his career at Lieberman & Nowak, before moving to Sidley Austin and later Pryor Cashman.

Meir received his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Hofstra University.
