Leviton’s new LED Illuminated switches are designed to work with all lighting loads, including LEDs and CFLs, without ghosting or flickering. They also feature an updated modern look, utilizing a white LED inside.

Ghosting is when LED’s can faintly glow even when the light switch is off. This is caused by leakage of current and is a common problem seen with neon illuminated switches. The LED Illuminated switches are designed to eliminate this phenomenon when used with LED bulbs and fixtures.

Yes, there is no requirement to use only LED illuminated switches in a 3-way or 4-way circuit. Additionally, there are no issues with using all LED Illuminated switches on a 3- or 4-way circuit.

Yes, you can use a 3-way LED illuminated switch with a dimmer, but the locator light on the dimmer should be switched to OFF for best performance.  When a dimmer controlling LEDs with an ON locator light is used with a 3-way illuminated or regular switch, current from the locator light can bleed through the circuit and cause ghosting of the lamps or flickering of the switch. Turning off the locator light will reduce the chance of this occurrence.

Our LED Illuminated switch is a modern updated design that provides enough illumination to be installed in dark spaces and rooms, while still being subtle enough for everyday living spaces.
